Tug is a twin-screw model bow steel tug powered by two 12V-71 Detroit Diesel engines. She is 67 feet long, has a beam of 22 feet, is 8 feet in depth from deck to keel, and draws 7 feet in a loaded condition. Tug has been involved in dredging operations, international trade, river work, reef building, salvage operations, and various other types of deployments.
Tug has had extensive steel work replaced topside, including new watertight doors installed. 90% of the electrical wiring has been replaced and both main engines have been rebuilt. Her last dry-dock was September of 2012.
Tug's safety package meets and exceeds US Coast Guard requirements for 50 + miles offshore.
